Under the roofs, Paris VIIe

The owners had renovated these former maids' rooms into a flat in the 1980s. It had not been touched since. The attic needed to be insulated and the flat brought up to date so that it could be rented out on a limited budget.

The existing parquet floor under the carpet was too damaged to keep. The budget allowed the installation of a floating parquet floor. The mezzanine was reduced for reasons of load recovery and security for the rental of the flat. The kitchen was optimised to provide a comfortable and usable space. The bathroom has not been altered except for the worktop, the sink and the washing machine.
